I had the most perfect seafood lunch with my friends, super happy and full! We ordered quite a lot but finished everything, it was that bloody good!! We ordered lobster gratin platter, lobster linguine, fresh oyster, seafood rice, and sangria. Everything was so flavorful, even the chips on the bottom of the platter, so damn delicious! Food coma after but so worth it! The staff Diogo and Arya we're equally friendly and accommodating, even took photos and did the surprise birthday treat for our friend. Will definitely come back!
Lovely ambience, great place for couples, very tasty seafood. Came here for my Birthday celebrations, had a great time. My own lot downfall was the time it took to get our drinks. And to get our order taken, we sat for a while. Apart from that it’s a really great place. The salad was so fresh and the chips were straight from the pot! Super hot and tasty
Food is yummy here. We got the 1 per fresh oyster, with 12.5% service charge, it still ended up cheaper than most food stall in the markets. They were very fresh and yummy, I and my friends were absolutely fine after eating the oysters here. The surf and turf were yummy too. The lobster was beautifully grilled. The chips were freshly fried, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The steak was not as good as other things, a bit small and the meat wasn’t very premium. I personally don’t think the interior is very nice. It looks a bit rigid for an above average ranged seafood restaurant.
We ordered oysters, fruits de mer, mussels/prawns casserole, grilled mixed seafood. Amazing grilled prawns, squid and octopus - can taste the charcoal. Service was amazing as well - Diogo was our waiter, he was very good with the kids! Will definitely be coming back.
This is long overdue I visited The Shell on New Year's Eve to take advantage of their special offer for steak, lobster and chips. I enjoyed my experience, the atmosphere and customer service was lovely. The waitress who served me was Manisha who gave service with a smile and her full attention nothing was a problem for her. The steak and lobster portions were very generous, the only negative I would give is that there could have been more chips and the salad was bitter. Other than that I would definitely visit again in the future, the restaurant is very close to Canary Wharf but very calm and quiet, perfect if you want to go somewhere different and more reserved.
First time at the Shell, Canary Wharf and will definitely be returning. Excellent service, great cocktails and the food was outstanding. The cost was extremely reasonable considering the location. I can highly recommend the Espresso Martini and the Mojitos. My friends said that the oysters were delicious and we all enjoyed the lobster roll and King Prawn rolls.
The lunch menu is an absolute bargain as you get to enjoy the seafood platter (p3) at 15, and other options are also at a great discount. If you’re an oyster lover, don’t miss their happy hour. I’m actually surprised at how few people there are dining in at lunchtime, and the waitresses are so friendly
Was looking for a nice seafood restaurant to take two of my friends for early birthday treat. Was so happy I found this restaurant The Shell in Canary Wharf. It was a lovely restaurant from the ambience, food cooked to perfection and its delicious but most of all the service is excellent. The lovely waiter Diogo is very attentive, friendly and very professional with his job we are so happy with his service! The only thing they can make the restaurant a bit more lively, if they play upbeat music in the background but other than everything is perfect! My friends and I had the most wonderful experience and we are all happy with our food, it was a lovely evening definitely we will come back!
